For the second time, Iran asked Interpol to issue a “red notice” for the arrest of President Trump and dozens of other U.S. officials in response to the drone strike that killed Iranian Gen. Qassem Soleimani a little more than a yea ago.

A red notice from Interpol alerts local authorities to locate and provisionally arrest fugitives of the law “pending extradition, surrender, or similar legal action,” according to Interpol’s website. A red notice is not an arrest warrant.

In response to the announcement, Interpol said that it doesn’t accept requests for red notices that it considers motivated by political or military concerns, according to NPR.

Iranian spokesman Gholamhossein Esmaili called Trump “the main culprit” behind Soleimani’s death, according to the semiofficial Mehr News Agency.

“A comprehensive investigation was conducted into the operation leading to the martyrdom of Martyr Soleimani,” Esmaili said. “The culprits have been identified and 48 people involved in the incident, including the US president who was the main culprit, as well as commanders and officials at the Pentagon and forces in the region, have been identified.”

Among the 47 other U.S. officials whom Iran issued red notices for are military commanders, Pentagon officials, and U.S. personnel in the region.

Last year, Trump ordered a drone strike in Baghdad that killed Soleimani, who led the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps’s Quds Force, and Abu Mahdi al Muhandis, the Iraqi leader of the Popular Mobilization Force.

Soleimani is believed to be responsible for the killing of hundreds of U.S. troops in Iraq. Trump, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and former Secretary of Defense Mark Esper said that the U.S. attacked Soleimani to prevent an “imminent” threat against the United States. A U.N. investigator said that the strike “was unlawful and arbitrary under international law” and violated Iraq’s sovereignty.

Ahead of the one-year anniversary of Soleimani’s death, the U.S. ordered a temporary withdrawal of some staff at the embassy citing concerns of attacks.

Tensions in the region were exacerbated further late last year after Iranian nuclear scientist Mohsen Fakrhizadeh, a scientist who was integral to building Iran’s nuclear program, was assassinated in broad daylight.

This week, Iran seized a South Korean oil tanker in the Strait of Hormuz on the same day state media announced that the country had increased its uranium enrichment up to 20{3c673d3ab703a335aa2de9fb6bc2c1f473b2ba555cfc5936ab3ce7b22bef001e} at one of its underground facilities.
