Snow, ho, ho!

The Northeast should brace for a “highly impactful” winter storm starting Wednesday — a weather wallop that could deliver enough powder to last long enough for a white Christmas, according to Accuweather.

As a powerful storm slamming the West Coast travels east, it could be responsible for anywhere from 6 to 10 inches of snow from Virginia to New York City and possibly into southern New England.

“It’s going to be kind of a fluffy kind of snow,” senior Accuweather meteorologist Tom Kines told The Post on Sunday.

“There’s certainly the possibility that a lot of this snow can stick around up until Christmas, which obviously makes it easier for Santa,” he said.

Depending on the storm’s track, there’s a chance that areas such as Washington, DC, southern New Jersey and Long Island get a messy mix of drenching rain, snow and ice.

But even outside of those regions, no one should count on an idyllic winter wonderland, Kines said.

“The downside is there is the wind blowing,” said Kines, who warned strong gusts of up to 30 mph will send the snow swirling, reducing visibility and creating blizzard conditions.

The storm is expected to arrive Wednesday and continue overnight, keeping people indoors and off the roads.

“We’re expecting the snow to arrive in the afternoon, so the Wednesday evening commute will be a problem,” Kines said.

The weather expert said the roads won’t likely be cleared in time for the Thursday morning commute, either — which could mean there’s a “high likelihood” that schools holding in-person classes close.

The week’s weather drama will kick off Monday with a quick-hitting storm bringing with it frigid temps.

“What the [first] storm might do is, it will bring in some chillier air behind it, so it’s laying the foundation for the rest week,” Kines said.

Kines said the wintry mix this week means that people will have to be strategic when it comes to holiday shopping plans.

“People that had plans to do shopping this week — your best best is Tuesday and Friday,” he said.
